Now I can crank through 100 sit-ups…

I joined Sol Crossfit about a year ago.  It took a really good friend of mine 2 years to convince me to try it and I can’t thank him enough for his perseverance as my physical accomplishments have been incredible.  A year later I am arguably in the best shape of my life!  In the beginning I would struggle to complete 10 sit-ups, could barely perform a squat, and was winded after running short distances.  Now I can crank through 100 sit-ups, squat more than my body weight, and can easily run a mile.   My friends outside of Crossfit have seen my physical transformation and are very impressed by the results (some of which have also become members of Sol).  Although the exercise component of Crossfit is an important aspect, the social attributes of Sol are just as rewarding.  The community environment that Sol fosters has allowed me to meet new people and make new friends that are there for encouragement and celebrate accomplishments while at the gym, meanwhile they have become even better friends outside of the gym.  I never thought “the gym,” would be as a significant part of my life as Sol Crossfit has become.
