Cryotherapy

What is Whole Body Cryotherapy?

Whole Body Cryotherapy(WBC)is a method by which your body is exposed to very cold temperatures to induce a fight or flight response. This response has been linked to many beneficial outcomes ranging from expedited recovery and enhanced performance in athletes to pain relief from inflammatory diseases, injuries and overuse symptoms. Some other possible benefits that are currently being explored are increased cell renewal related to the skin and how that benefits certain skin conditions and the impact it has on your metabolism and how it relates to weight loss.

What can I expect my first time?

Our friendly, professional staff will walk you through an initial 12-15 minute appointment explaining what you can expect during your 3 mins in the Cryosauna and answer any questions you may have. After your initial appointment you can expect appointments to run 5-7 mins.

What do I wear?

Cotton or wool socks which we provide (and underwear in men) must be worn during the treatment. We have change rooms with comfy robes and gloves to wear before you get your treatment.

How many times should I do it?

This is largely dependent upon the purpose for using Cryo and varies based on what the individual is coming in to treat. A typical package for most of our clients consists of 8-10 sessions every 1-2 days or 3x week.

Do you have any evidence based data supporting Whole Body Cryotherapy use?

Yes, definitely. We want to help educate people and have taken the time to list a large number of scientific studies supporting the benefits of doing Whole Body Cryotherapy below. We encourage anyone with questions about it's applications/benefits to browse through the material and see how Whole Body Cryotherapy can help you.
